Doug Wright server the Northern California region from his position at Redding, Shasta County-based law firm Smith Wright. Douglas A. Wright currently represents and advises clients throughout California with a focus on business and commercial law, estate planning issues, and landlord/tenant disputes.

Doug holds a Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and was awarded the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Professional Responsibility (Ethics). Doug also spent a summer studying in the prestigious International Legal Studies program in Salzburg Austria with United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. Doug completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Doug is admitted to the California Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts: Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of California, Central District of Illinois, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.

Doug is currently the Vice President of the Shasta Trinity County Bar Association, an active member of the Rotary Club of Redding, sits on the Board of Directors for the Shasta County Economic Development Corporation, sits on the Board of Trustees for the Mercy Foundation North, is a member of the Mercy Foundation North Planned Giving Committee, and is active with several local chambers of commerce.
